FASH REVIEWS

FASH - St Tropez

Fash, aka known as Tony Faeshe, has recorded two solo albums - St Tropez, being the second. He has been part of the Falcons for many years since moving over to Victoria from South Australia in 1976. Of the three albums reviewed here, this one is the freshest sounding - new music, a different sound incorporating Latin beats and rhythms, Spanish influences, contrasting light and shade.
Comprising mostly guitar instrumentals, with the sweet vocals of Diana Clark gracing three songs, the album varies between upbeat and slow melodies, with some enjoyable instrumentation such as the Hammond organ (on Boulevard & Lost Planet), the piano accordion (Gotania) and sax playing from Wilbur Wilde. My preferred tracks were the title track, Dream and Sparrow.
